Tutorial Classics

2019-2020

Course Content

The student can contact a teacher of his/her choice and establish the
content of the tutorial together with the teacher in accordance with
his/her own interests. The student should make clear the relevance of
the tutorial for his/her complete master programme, for instance as a
preparation for the master thesis.
For students of Classics and students of Ancient Studies with Greek or
Latin, there are two standard subjects for tutorials: Ancient Epic
through the Ages and Reception of Classical Literature. Another
possibility is a reading programme of one or more Greek and/or Latin
authors, to be established in consultation with one or two teachers of
the student's choice. Further, the student interested in Greek and/or
Latin linguistics can choose a subject within this field.
