Course Content

The course is the premaster version of the bachelor course "Core Themes
in Anthropology". Please refer there for the course description.

Teaching Methods

Lectures, guest lectures, documentaries and other audio-visual
illustrations, text analysis, class debates. Students will have access
to video-recordings of classes that were given earlier in the week.

Method of Assessment

Mid-term exam, open questions (25% of final grade)
Final exam, open questions (75% of final grade)

Eriksen, Thomas Hylland, 2010, Small Places, Large Issues. An
Introduction to Social and Cultural Anthropology (4th edition), London:
Pluto Press (approx.. 25 euro).
