Pre-Master Fieldwork

Course Objective

The goal of the course is to write, together with a fellow student, a
paper based on a combination of literature and fieldwork data
(interviews and observations).

Course Content

In the PM Fieldwork course, students will learn the most common field
research methods for qualitative organization studies: interviewing and
observations. They will use the acquired skills to analyze data (partly
provided by the teachers, partly gathered by the students themselves)
and include this analysis in a paper on a specific topic chosen within a
broader theme provided by the teachers. Qualitative data analysis skills
will be practised by using the computer programme Atlas.ti.
