Course Content

During this course, the common group of clinical conditions known under
the umbrella term temporomandibular disorders (TMD), will be dealt with
in more depth and detail than during the introductory course. Besides a
larger focus on the definitions, epidemiology, diagnosis, etiology,
consequences, treatment, and prognosis of not only the most common TMDs
but also of the less common ones, special attention will be paid to the
multidisciplinary aspects of TMD: some TMDs show a considerable overlap
with conditions that are part of the oral-facial surgery domain, while
also psychologists and physiotherapists play an important role in the
multidisciplinary diagnosis and management of TMDs.
