Course Content

During this course, the ins and outs of tooth wear, notably attrition,
erosion, and abrasion, will be dealt with. The multicausal nature and
complicated treatment planning of this increasing dental problem
requires specialist attention of both restorative dentists and oral
kinesiologists. Hence, even though the main part of tooth wear diagnosis
and management is dental, a close collaboration between different dental
specialists is required for a good treatment outcome and prognosis.
Those parts of the tooth wear domain that do have a true
multidisciplinary character are dealt with in the Dental Sleep Medicine
and Oral Movement Disorders courses.
