Course Objective

After completing this course, the student will be able to:
— have an increased appreciation for a particular sub-field of AI and,
where possible, to make a research contribution to this sub-field of
Artificial Intelligence; (Knowledge and understanding) (Apply knowledge

— independently conduct a research project (under supervision of an
advisor); (Make judgements) (Apply knowledge and understanding)
— present and communicate the results obtained during the project;
(Communication)
— find, process, and critically evaluate relevant literature within the
sub-field, and communicate research results and ideas in written and
oral form. (Communication) (Lifelong learning skills)

Course Content

The Bachelor Project is meant as a conclusion of AI bachelor studies.

Each student will select a project based on available topics and
supervisors.
A student can select from an assortment of topics offered by the
department, or suggest his/her own topic. Part of the project consists
of the study and review of literature as well as of peer review.

The Bachelor Project AI is an individual project.

Teaching Methods

After an orientation meeting, the student selects a supervisor and a
topic. The work, carried out on individual basis, results in a written
report (thesis) and an oral presentation at the annual AI Bachelor
Seminar. The student performs a number of reviews of final
concept-reports by fellow students.

Method of Assessment

Grading for the course is based on the individual evaluation of student
performance, the final report, and the final oral presentation.

Entry Requirements

Students should have almost completed all other studies within the
bachelor programme. Exceptions are provided in individual cases.
