Course ObjectiveThe aim of this course is to learn to read papers at a research level,
organize the material for a seminar talk, and to be able to explain the
mathematical concepts and ideas involved. It is also important to learn
constructively participate in a research seminar.
Course ContentEach student gives two presentations about a
subject that will be decided upon at the beginning of the course.
Teaching MethodsLecture, seminar, self-study
Method of AssessmentAttendance is compulsory. The course will be graded based on the
presentations of the students, where special attention is given to
improvement in the second lecture.
Active participation also plays a role in the grading. There will be no
opportunity for a resit exam for this
