Communication and Information Studies

In the Bachelor's programme Communication and Information Studies, students choose a particular specialisation. There are three English-language specialisations and there is one in Dutch. Lectures in courses shared by all specialisations are taught in English. In those cases, the working language of workgroups will be Dutch or English, depending on the specialisation.


The Bachelor's programme consists of four specialisations:

• Media en Journalistiek (Dutch)

• Language and Media (English)

• English Language and Communication Studies (English)

• Language and Mind (English)


A choice between the English-language specialisations can still be made during the first semester of the first year. The choice for Media en Journalistiek is made directly at the start of the programme.
