Communication Science

During the programme Communication Science, students learn to understand the world behind the many different forms of communication. Students of the Bachelor's programme in Communication Science will become communication experts with a broad knowledge of the field. The programme is comprehensive: students will get an overview of communication processes in the public, organisational and private sphere. The programme is topical: a great deal of attention is paid to the effects of digitisation on communication processes. The programme is research-oriented: with a significant emphasis on theory and research methods. And the training is practically oriented: Students carry out a project every semester. These projects consist of analysing and solving a communication problem and are often in collaboration with external companies. After completion of the programme students are prepared to enter a career as a communication specialist. Yet, the programme’s main priority remains to prepare students for a Master’s programme in Communication Science or a related Master's degree.
