Digital Business and Innovation provides thorough academic understanding of how organizations can effectively use digital technologies to innovate their business processes, products, services and business models. The programme builds on the core domains of information systems and innovation management that address the strategic value of information systems for current business and the specific nature of digital innovation processes. Students are challenged to develop their own innovation idea and master the required skills and creative confidence. In the domain of digital transformation, which concerns the implications of digital innovations for organizations and how people work, a mandatory course is offered on the implications of digital technologies in day-to-day work and organizing practices. In each area, electives broaden and deepen the scope of the programme and prepare for a specific working environment. The programme is complemented by an academic core that contains research design and methods, ethics and the master thesis. Overall, integrating theory and application runs centrally throughout the programme.
