Archaeology

If you do not meet the entry requirements for the Master’s degree Archaeology, for example if you have a degree from a Dutch University of Applied Sciences (HBO) or an equivalent thereof, Premaster Archaeology offers a bridging programme to help you bring your knowledge and skills to the required level. The Premaster grants access to the Master's Archaeology.

The standard programma of the Premaster Archaelogy consists of 5 courses of 6 ec (i.e. 30 ec in total). In addition, HBO-students will have to take a course on Academic Skills of 12 ec. The admissions committee, however, will assess your prior education and may determine an alternative programme, taylored to the specific knowledge and skills you acquired in your prior education.

The Premaster is a joint programme offered by the Vrije Universiteit (VU) and the University of Amsterdam (UvA).
