Course Objective

Expanding the knowledge and skilles acquired in Moroccan Arabic 1. The
goal of this course is to reach level A2 of the Common European
Framework of Reference (CEFR). You will be able to deal with simple
communication situations such as the ones you encounter when travelling
through Morocco or when communicating with Moroccan Arabic speaking
people in Europe. At the end of this course you will be able to
communicate in Moroccan Arabic about daily life matters, such as talking
about your familiy, about your study plans, and about hobbies and work.
You will also be able to share your travel or life experiences, express
an opinion and talk about topics such as health and education.
introducing yourself, describing your family situation and housing
situation, asking people for directions, and ordering food in a
restaurant. You will be able to understand simple conversations, if
people are speaking in a clear voice and at a slightly slower pace than
normal.

Course Content

Language skills classes. There will be no attention for written language
as Moroccan Arabic is a language variety that is used for oral
communication only.

Teaching Methods

2 x 2 hours of language class.

Method of Assessment

Oral and written exam. The oral exam represents two thirds of your final
grade and the written exam one third. Both components must be graded at
least 5.5.

Entry Requirements

Completion of the course Moroccan Arabic 1.

Target Audience

Anybody who wants to expand his/her basic knowledge of Moroccan Arabic.
Students who take the minor Foreign Language Learning.

Additional Information

This course is part of the minor Foreign Language Learning. This minor
is particularly interesting for students who are passionate about
learning languages and who are at the same time interested in the
learnability of languages, second language acquisition processes and
studying typologically different languages.
