Course ObjectiveThe present course aims 1. to offer knowledge and insights in philosophy
of science, in order that students will be able to identify the
historical background of theories and ideas; and 2. to provide a
theoretical education that lets students think critically about issues
in their area of specialization.
Course ContentThe present course will address key-problems in philosophy of science.
Teaching MethodsLectures and seminars
Method of AssessmentTwo midterm papers (2.000 words each) and an end paper (5.000 words).
The mark of the exam will be based upon the results of the papers,
according to the ratio paper 1 20%, paper 2 20%, paper 3 60%.
LiteratureThe list of required readings will be included in the course manual.
