This minor is a unique course as it combines most relevant aspects of accounting, organizations and society. Amongst others focus is on relevant aspects of accounting and IT systems, corporate governance and organizations and decision-making and tax and organizations. All courses will discuss societal implications and corporate responsibility of doing business. The module is also unique because of its multidisciplinary approach and last but not least because of the variety in teaching methods. 


Completing this minor will allow you to understand the effects of integrating traditional bookkeeping with modern IT systems, the legal and societal role of good Corporate Governance as well as the importance of organizational behavior and decision making.

Description
Financial information systems are part of a company’s infrastructure. A
thoroughly understanding of the context in which companies operate is
required to be able to design effective information systems. Completing
this minor will allow students to understand the effects of integrating
traditional bookkeeping with the application of latest IT developments,
the legal and societal role of good Corporate Governance as well as the
importance of organizational behavior and decision making.

The minor contains 5 compulsory courses.

Note: all courses are mandatory for students who want to become licensed
auditors in the Netherlands (registeraccountant).
