Tutorial and literature study with free choice of topic.

The supervisor and the student will choose an appropriate way of assessing the studies, e.g., an examination, a paper, a popular writing, a presentation, or a combination of assessments.

Some examples of topics that can be chosen and professors that are willing to supervise in this course are:

  • André van der Braak / Gertie Blaauwendraad: Psychedelica en zingeving (Nederlandstalig)
  • Jens Reinke: Global Buddhism in a Dutch Context
  • An-Ting Yi: New Testament textual criticism, or manuscript studies, or the Gospel of John, or migration and the New Testament
  • Pieter Veerman: how can we speak, from various traditions within the Evangelical and Reformed tradition, of God’s presence and absence, encounters of immediacy together with the question of discernment.
  • Eveline van Staalduine-Sulman: exegesis in ancient Jewish translations and commentaries, or deviant gender: the case of the eunuchs in Old and New Testament, or the various explanations of the Song of Songs
