Doel vak

Knowledge and understanding. The student has acquired knowledge and

(2) the various ethnographic research methods, and the way they can be

ethnographic knowledge generation
(4) use ethical considerations to evaluate methods and situations in
ethnographic research practice

Inhoud vak

In anthropological research, ethnography is the primary methodology.
This course is a comprehensive introduction to the theory of
ethnographic research methodology. It discusses thethe practical,
technical and ethical issues that anthropological qualitative research.
It is a theoretical exploration and evaluation of the most prominent
topics such as participant observation, interviewing, fieldwork, and
digital and visual ethnography, as well as reflexivity and ethical
issues, including codes of conduct. Finally, the course will also
reflect on the analysis of ethnographic data, the writing process, and
other forms of reporting.
