Public Administration: Artificial Intelligence and Governance is the English-language programme of the Master's in Public Administration. The growing reliance on artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in government, public service delivery and public decision-making gives rise to new substantive and methodological demands for skills needed to navigate an increasingly complex and data-driven professional environment. It requires a new generation of trained experts who are both well-versed in the theory and practice of governance as well as tech-savvy. This programme is designed to ensure students acquire such skills.

With this programme, we educate the next generation of policy-makers, public officials, or regulators to develop a reflexive, analytical and technological understanding of both the opportunities and challenges presented by the rise of AI and digital technologies in governance and society. Students will build a strong theoretical and analytical understanding of governance processes, coupled with valuable technical skills.

The Master programme in Public Administration aims to train students to become socially engaged, analytical professionals who apply their academic knowledge, skills, and aptitudes to make a meaningful contribution to the governance of society. Our graduates have a deep understanding of complex situations in the field of public management and organisation in relation to their political and societal context. They analyse such situations from multiple perspectives, applying a critical and reflexive attitude towards both the quality of information available to them and different stances on the matter. They can design, conduct, and evaluate research to advance knowledge and apply their critical insights to effectively advise and act on the course of action to be undertaken.
