The Faculty of Medicine of the VU Medical Center in Amsterdam offers an unique English taught minor program of 30 ECTS in the first semester of the third year of the bachelor (September-January). There are 10 different minors to choose from, covering a variety of subjects. (See Related courses.)
Exchange students who wish to apply for one of these tracks need to have completed at least 90 EC in a relevant program like for example: medicine, biomedicine, psychobiology, technical medicine, medical biology, liberal arts & sciences or biopharmaceutical sciences.

International Minor VUmc Medical Science
Omschrijving
As part of the first semester of year 3 of the bachelor program
((September- January) an English taught minor of 24/30 ECTS is offered
to all student, including (international and national) students of
partner institutions of VU and VUmc.
The minor program at VUmc consists of a general introductory course
followed by different tracks of choice each consisting of three
individual courses . The tracks cover a wide variety of subjects such
as Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, Infection and Immunology,
Neurology and Psychiatry, Global Health, Clinical Epidemiology, Surgery,
Child Health Care, Healthy Ageing.
At the end of this semester, students are expected to write a
bachelor thesis on a topic of choice
